Ty serves as a founder and financial advisor at Meriwether. For more than four decades his professional career has focused on helping his clients create, preserve, protect and transfer their wealth to the next generation of stewards. Ty is passionate about helping individuals, families and businesses achieve clarity, confidence and control around their financial affairs.
Ty earned a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from LA Tech University and holds designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®). Additionally, Ty has a lifelong and deep appreciation of community and the importance of “loving our neighbors,” which he has done through civic organizations, schools his children attended, First Baptist Church of Minden, and through service in local government. Ty currently serves as the chairman of the Webster Parish Convention and Visitors Commission, the Minden Cemetery Association, and is member of the Minden Lions Club. In 2020, he was honored with Minden’s “Man of the Year” Award for his outstanding service to the local community.
Ty and his wife, Patty, are longtime Minden, residents and have three sons: Tristan (Kristel), Jeremy (Emery) and Andy (Polly). They love spending time with their six grandchildren and can often be heard saying that “the grandparent business is the best business I’ve ever known!” Ty also enjoys reading, outdoor activities related to land and wildlife management, and taking his 1977 Bronco Ranger out for a drive on sunny days.
